Dr. Stephanie Griggs is an associate professor and the Agnes Stahlin Baun Endowed Scholar on the tenure track at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. She earned a BS in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts (2009), MSN in Nursing Education from American International College (2011) PhD in Nursing from the University of Chan Massachusetts Medical School (2017) completed a T32-funded postdoctoral fellowship in Self-Management at Yale School of Nursing (2020) and K99 postdoctoral traineeship at Case Western Reserve University (2021). Currently, Dr. Griggs leading an NIDDK-funded R01 to test the efficacy of a sleep and circadian cognitive behavioral intervention for young adults with type 1 diabetes. Dr. Griggs has been recognized for her research and teaching through meritorious and honorific awards. Her NIH and American Academy of Sleep Medicine funded research program addresses a scientific priority to examine sleep, circadian behavior, and glucose metabolism in humans across the lifecycle with and without childhood chronic conditions, with an emphasis on type 1 diabetes.
The Virtual Seminar Series is a resource to support career development by providing opportunities for trainees and early career investigators to deliver professional talks to an audience of peers and colleagues through online seminars. Our goal is to provide a resource for Sleep Research Society members at all levels of training to get continued exposure to new and exciting sleep and circadian research methods and findings.
