
Dr. ten Brink is an interdisciplinary health psychologist researching the intersection of affect, sleep, and processes of embodied change. She is passionate about improving public mental health, building and organizing community, and understanding affect dynamics across the sleep-wake cycle.
She is a postdoctoral research scientist at the Center for Cardiovascular Behavioral Health at Columbia University Irving Medical Center working with Dr. Jeffrey Birk. She received her PhD in 2023 from Stanford University, where she worked with Dr. James Gross and Dr. Rachel Manber on two NIH-funded projects examining how affect regulation use in healthy individuals’ daily lives relates to sleep health.
She has received funding and fellowships from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, P.E.O. International, and the American Association of University Women.
The Virtual Seminar Series is a resource to support career development by providing opportunities for trainees and early career investigators to deliver professional talks to an audience of peers and colleagues through online seminars. Our goal is to provide a resource for Sleep Research Society members at all levels of training to get continued exposure to new and exciting sleep and circadian research methods and findings.
