Russell P. Rosenberg, PhD, DABSM, a leader in clinical sleep medicine and research for over 30 years, passed away on November 10 in Georgia, at age 67. Dr. Rosenberg was a devoted researcher, specializing in sleep disorders, wearables and medical devices, as well as a board-certified sleep specialist, a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and a past chairman of the National Sleep Foundation.
Dr. Rosenberg received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Ohio State University and underwent his residency in sleep medicine at ush Presbyterian St Luke’s Medical Center.
He gave presentations around the United States and internationally on sleep disorders and authored several book chapters and journal articles in the field. Earlier this year, he participated in a Sleep Review podcast on how to treat insomnia in primary care.
Russ was a devoted friend, boss, husband, father, and grandfather.
