The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has put out a call for comments on the American Time Use Survey (ATUS). ATUS measures, for example, time spent with children, working, sleeping, or doing leisure activities. This type of data collection can be helpful to sleep and circadian researchers. BLS is requesting comments on four different areas regarding ATUS, but the one that the SRS would like to provide input on is Enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected. More information on this comment request can be found here. Click the links for more information on ATUS and its questionnaire.

This is a great opportunity for a member who is looking for a short-term volunteer opportunity with the SRS. Please email Kaitlan Willis, SRS Coordinator, at coordinator@srsnet.org by July 10 if you are interested. Accepted volunteers will be notified on July 11.

If selected, comments will be due back to the SRS National Office by July 26 so that they can be submitted by July 29.
