The goal of the SRS Mentoring Program Awards is to link trainees and early stage investigators to mentoring opportunities, which are not available from their institutions, with three distinct offerings.

SRS Mentor Mentee Award
The goal of the Sleep Research Society Mentor Mentee Award is to link trainees with limited sleep/circadian mentoring options in their chosen field of interest to mentors that can provide rich, face-to-face opportunities in state-of-the-art research techniques and methods.

SRS/ASA Collaborative Mentor Mentee Award
The goal of the Sleep Research Society/Australasian Sleep Association International Mentor-Mentee Program is to link trainees from institutions with limited sleep/circadian mentoring options in their chosen field of interest to mentors that can provide rich, face-to-face opportunities in state of-the-art research techniques and methods. For SRS member applicants the mentor must be located in a different country and an ASA Member, but mentor need not be a member of the SRS.

Grant Guidance with a Guru Award
Past Presidents of the Sleep Research Society have graciously offered their time and expertise to give directed guidance in the NIH Grant Writing process. This relationship is intended to last during the writing, review and revision process for one major NIH grant.

Two deadlines to apply exist. The deadlines for the receipt of the proposals are 11:59 pm, March 10, 2018 and October 10, 2018.  All proposals must be submitted electronically, as one complete PDF document to coordinator@srsnet.org.  Full details may be found here.
