Title: “Sleep & Relational Memory: Exploring the Impact of Sleep Deprivation”

Dr. Courtney Kurinec is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Translational Medicine and Physiology and an affiliate faculty member in the Sleep and Performance Research Center at Washington State University Spokane.

As a cognitive psychologist, she focuses on how challenges like sleep deprivation and cognitive load impact the underlying processes that contribute to effective memory and decision-making. Dr. Kurinec earned her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at Baylor University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychology at Washington State University.

The Virtual Seminar Series is a resource to support career development by providing opportunities for trainees and early career investigators to deliver professional talks to an audience of peers and colleagues through online seminars. Our goal is to provide a resource for Sleep Research Society members at all levels of training to get continued exposure to new and exciting sleep and circadian research methods and findings.
