This free half-day workshop will focus on planning and implementing successful clinical trials in sleep and circadian medicine.
Attendees will learn how to plan a well-designed, rigorous clinical trial for disorders such as insomnia, sleep-related breathing disorders, hypersomnia, movement disorders, circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders, and promotion of sleep health in various populations. The workshop will also focus on the essentials of effective oversight and implementation of clinical trials, including various aspects of intervention and trial design, data and safety monitoring, recruitment & retention, adherence & attrition and the use of information technology and electronic health records in clinical trials.
Trainee support is a core goal of the workshop. Trainees can participate in networking sessions and receive personalized feedback on grants or other topics through one-on-one videoconference sessions with experienced sleep and circadian researchers.
