Introducing Eilis A. Boudreau, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Neurology at the Oregon Health & Science University. A dedicated researcher and clinician, Dr. Boudreau bridges the fields of sleep medicine, neurology, and informatics to explore the role of sleep in brain health and disease.

Highlights of her work:

  • Professor of Neurology, School of Medicine
  • Holds joint appointment in the VA Portland Health Care System.
  • Staff physician in the sleep medicine and epilepsy programs at the Portland VA Medical Center.

Research Focus:

  • Creating better sleep health outcomes by improving the healthcare information lifecycle

Improving the prediction of cardiovascular and metabolic complications from sleep apnea using large data repositories, and machine learning and natural language processing approaches

Educational Contributions:

  • Teaches neurology with a focus on sleep medicine, epilepsy, and informatics, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Academic Background:

  • Ph.D. in Biophysics from Syracuse University.
  • M.D. from the SUNY Health Science University at Syracuse.
