“The Future of OSA Treatment”

Thursday, December 3, 2026 at 1:00pm-2:30pm ET

Overview:

First line treatment for OSA remains CPAP but there is increasing interest in pharmacotherapy and other procedures and devices for obstructive sleep apnea. We will explore the existing data on CPAP, and the use of medications for sleep apnea as either second line therapy or adjunctive therapy. We will further review other advances in OSA therapeutics as well as management of diagnostic and serial testing.

Learning Objectives:

  1. To understand sleep apnea epidemiology and current/future diagnostic approaches
  2. To review recent data regarding CPAP from meta-analyses and clinical trials
  3. To appreciate the incretin and AD109 studies
  4. To review the recent data on hypoglossal nerve stimulation, electrical stimulation and oral appliances
  5. To consider future directions in OSA therapy
