Mechanistic Role of the Microbiome in the Pathobiology of Heart, Lung, Blood, and Sleep
The NHLBI invites R01 applications proposing to elucidate the molecular, immunological and physiological mechanisms by which the microbiota and its derived factors modulate heart, lung, blood and sleep biology and physiology to promote health or contribute to disease. The goal is to provide the critical knowledge to guide early translational approaches for better understanding and treatment of HLBS conditions in adults and children.
