Membership Levels for Every Career Stage

Full Member

Full Member

Full members possess doctoral degrees and have either published sleep-related research or have documentation of research.

Associate Member

Associate Member

Associate Members have special training, have not yet obtained a terminal doctoral degree, and are actively engaged in sleep research, usually in a laboratory.

Trainee/Student Member

Trainee/Student Member

There are several membership options for trainees and students including Postdoctoral Fellow member, Predoctoral Student member, and Undergraduate Student member.

Dual Membership

Dual AASM and SRS members receive a $50 discount. Renewing members must login to each site and click the renew button on each site (discount will be reflected at checkout). New Full SRS members can contact srsmembership@srsnet.org to complete their membership request.

Reside outside the U.S.?

You may qualify for reduced membership dues. Scientists in the field of sleep research from certain nations other than the United States whose financial and academic situation renders it difficult to pay full member dues may apply for reduced membership dues. View a list of qualifying countries here.

Emeritus Member

Emeritus Members must be full members for at least ten years and be retired professionally or have obtained Emeritus status at an academic or research institution. Membership ($110/Year) includes the online version of the journal SLEEP.
