Post-doctoral Opportunity

Rest and readiness: what is the optimal nap length during night shifts.

Join our team at CQUniversity's Appleton Institute in Adelaide to tackle to critcal challenge of optimising nap strategies during night shifts. This post-doctoral position offers you the chance to

  • Lead and contribute to cutting edge research in sleep, napping and safety
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic team and mentor emerging researchers
  • Drive evidence-based policies that improve safety and productivity for night workers globally
  • Collaborate with a global network, including NASA, Swansea University and the University of Pittsburgh.

We are seeking a team-orientated, PhD-qualified (or very near completion) researcher in psychology, sleep, neuroscince or a related field, ready to drive this Australian Research Council funded project in our world class sleep laboratory.

Location: CQUniversity Australia

Duration: 3 years

Start Date: July 2025-September 2025
