Dear SRS Members,

The Sleep Research Society Foundation wishes you and yours a wonderful holiday season! We look forward to a great year in 2023.

The Board of Directors would like to thank you for your support in 2022, especially during such a difficult time in all our lives. Generous donations received enabled the Foundation to fund the SRSF Career Development Award, the SRSF Small Research Grant, and many young investigators with scholarships to attend important meetings like the SLEEP meeting, and the Young Investigator’s Research Forum. We are confident these early career investigators will increase our knowledge of sleep and circadian science and change the way we think about the impact of sleep and circadian rhythms in public health.

A special thanks to our committed Funding Our Future Scientists Campaign donors for their ongoing support over a 5-year period to help us fund the SRSF Career Development Award.  2022 is the final year of the Campaign. If you have not already done so, I urge you to fulfill your Campaign pledge before December 31st to help fund this award. The importance of these career development awards cannot be overstated – your support is critical to fund these awards. Please contact Ms. Christine Davis, Foundation Director, if you have any questions cdavis@srsnet.org.

Thank you to our current 2022 Annual Appeal donors for supporting the Foundation’s programs. If you haven’t donated, it’s not too late to support the work of the Foundation. To date, we have received $34,000 out of the $40,000 budgeted – help us bridge the gap and continue to fund important programs. Donate Today! Your donation is tax-deductible.

Thank you to our Corporate Partners for their commitment to SRS members and the field.

None of this would have been possible without the help of many volunteers, including the Campaign Leadership and the 2022 Annual Appeal Committee.

Together, we can advance sleep and circadian science.

Sincerely,
Sairam Parthasarathy MD, FAASM
SRS Foundation President
