A Message from Dr. Szymusiak, Editor-in-Chief SLEEP

SLEEP is the journal of the Sleep Research Society and published by Oxford University Press. The mission of SLEEP is to publish innovative and high impact research findings in sleep and circadian science. SRS members are primary generators of that high impact research. Support your journal by submitting your best science to SLEEP. The Editorial Board and journal staff are continually refining and expediting peer review processes to improve decision times.

SRS members have the option of publishing their papers under the Oxford Open Access Initiative at a discounted fee. Accepted papers are typically web published as Advanced Access articles within a few weeks of acceptance, with listing on PubMed and other databases and with a fully citable DOI. In each issue, 2-3 articles are designated as Editor’s Choice, highlighted on the opening page of the SLEEP/OUP website and are fully open access. Through Oxford’s worldwide marketing efforts, institutional subscriptions to the journal have increased.  Accessibility to articles published in SLEEP has never been higher. I encourage you to visit and explore the SLEEP/OUP website and I look forward to receiving your submissions.
