Journal SLEEP Advances
SLEEP Advances is a Gold Open Access companion journal to SLEEP. It will publish original research articles, commentaries, and review papers in sleep and circadian science across the basic, translational, and clinical research spectrum.
SLEEP Advances will publish articles that use a wide variety of scientific approaches and address a broad range of topics. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Basic and neuroscience studies of sleep and circadian mechanisms
- In vitro and animal models of sleep, circadian rhythms, and human disorders
- Pre-clinical human investigations, physiology, including the measurement and manipulation of sleep and circadian rhythms
- Epidemiology studies, implementation, and dissemination research

SLEEP Advances Trainee Publication Fee Waiver Award
The Sleep Research Society is pleased to announce its support for trainees to get published by providing support to pay for open access fees to publish in SLEEP Advances.
Current Undergraduate, Predoctoral, and Postdoctoral SRS Members are eligible. This initiative is available for the following article types only: Original Articles, Brief Research Reports, and Review Articles. Individuals interested in applying for this initiative must be the first and corresponding author on the manuscript to be submitted. Applicants must complete a form that requires a statement of need. The statement of need should address the applicant’s need for financial support to cover publication fees. Applications to this Award must be submitted BEFORE submitting your manuscript to SLEEP Advances. (There are limited funds set aside for this initiative and they will be disbursed on a first come first served basis until the funds are depleted.)
