Postdoctoral Position – Sleep, Cognitive Neuroscience & Human Performance
Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC), Pensacola, FL
IHMC is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Senior Research Associate) in our Healthspan, Resilience, and Performance research area. The fellow will play a key role in the MORPHEUS project, a Department of Defense–funded initiative testing integrated interventions (non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation, binaural beats, and photomodulation) to optimize sleep efficiency, resilience, and cognitive performance under extreme sleep restriction.
This is a two-year appointment starting January 2025, with strong potential for advancement to a Research Scientist (PI-level) role.
Required: PhD in neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, biomedical engineering, or related field; expertise in EEG analysis; proficiency in Python/R/MATLAB.
Preferred: background in sleep research, multimodal integration, signal processing, machine learning, and peer-reviewed publications.
