The department is recruiting to fill an assistant/associate professor position with an outstanding individual with energy, drive and excellent leadership skills, who will serve as Director of the Sleep Medicine Program. The Division’s nationally-ranked clinical program is expanding and growing, with inpatient, outpatient and consulting services at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and UCSD Medical Center, participation in multidisciplinary clinics, multiple regional satellite programs, and development of regional continuing education programs.
The Sleep Center is expanding its capacity, and there are growing opportunities for outstanding basic and translational research at UCSD and in collaboration with the rich community of research institutions in San Diego. Candidates must have California medical license/eligibility, board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. Individuals with appropriate experience and interest will be considered for the position of Director of Clinical Services. Development of basic clinical/translational research programs and innovative educational programs are critical components of the position. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong or potential accomplishments in areas contributing to diversity, equity and inclusion, and a desire to play a leadership role in advancing UC, San Diego’s commitment to achieving excellence and diversity.
